Swamp Rabbit Trail and Boardwalk Reopens

The Swamp Rabbit Trail and the boardwalk through the Cancer Survivors Park will be open every day from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. (regular park operating hours).

The reopening of the trail is a major milestone in the ongoing construction of the seven-acre site, which includes a new bridge, children’s garden, education pavilion, lawns, natural gardens, boardwalk and secondary trails.

Over the coming months, the trail may experience brief partial closures for the movement of materials and heavy machinery while additional landscape materials such as trees, turf, plants and furnishing are brought on site; however, these sporadic closures should last no more than a few hours.

The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 22-mile multi-use (walking and bicycling) greenway that traverses along the Reedy River, an old railroad corridor and City parks to connect Travelers Rest with the City of Greenville, South Carolina.
