Meals on Wheels and the Meyer Center Announce Partnership

Meals on Wheels of Greenville and the Meyer Center for Special Children have announced a new partnership to provide nutritious meals and healthy snacks from Meals on Wheels to Meyer Center students.

This collaboration will provide food that is not only nutritious, but also meets unique dietary needs and is easier for students with disabilities to eat.

“Collaboration is key in the nonprofit sector and this is a win-win partnership for both organizations,” said Chris Neeley, Executive Director for the Meyer Center. “We are able to support the tremendous work of Meals on Wheels all while more effectively providing nutritious and often specialty lunches and snacks for our students.”

“For nearly 50 years, Meals on Wheels has been delivering nutritious meals to homebound individuals and seniors in Greenville County,” said Catriona Carlisle, Executive Director at Meals on Wheels of Greenville. “This partnership allows us to serve our community in a new way by providing healthy food to students at the Meyer Center, while further supporting our mission to care for our neighbors in need.”

Meals on Wheels will deliver meals and snacks to the Meyer Center daily throughout the school year and during summer programs.
