Annual Meals on Wheels Event Provides More Than 52,800 Meals for the Homebound

Meals on Wheels of Greenville’s annual Sweetheart Charity Ball raised enough funds to provide over 52,800 meals to the homebound in Greenville County.

“We are extremely grateful to our generous sponsors, volunteers and supporters for donating their time and resources to help us fulfill the mission of Meals on Wheels,” said Catriona Carlisle, Executive Director at Meals on Wheels of Greenville. “The money raised through this event will allow us to provide nutritious meals delivered by a friendly volunteer to the homebound in Greenville County throughout 2017.”

The Sweetheart Charity Ball was presented by McKinney Dodge of Easley and held earlier this month at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. Funds were raised through corporate sponsorships, silent and live auction items, and Fund-a-Need donations.

Meals on Wheels enhances the quality of life of homebound individuals by providing nutritious meals, personal interaction and independence.
