City of Greenville to Host NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition

Local youth will have the opportunity to demonstrate their football skills when the City of Greenville hosts the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition on Sunday, September 18th at Greenville High School.

The competition begins at 1:30 pm and will be open until 3:00 pm at the Greenville High School football practice field. The competition is free and open to boys and girls ages 6-15.

A release of liability form must be signed by a parent or guardian and a valid birth certificate must be presented for each child.

The Punt, Pass & Kick competition separates children into five different age groups (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15), with boys and girls competing separately. Age divisions are based on the child’s age as of December 31, 2014. For each age division, the top scorer from each boys’ division and the top scorer from each girls’ division at the local competition advances to the sectional competition. Each participant is allowed one punt, one pass and a kick from a tee. Scoring is based on distance and accuracy. Gym shoes are the only accepted footwear for the competition. Football cleats, sandals and bare feet are not permitted. Participants must use the equipment (footballs and tees) provided.
