Upstate Forever is hosting their annual ForeverGreen Awards Luncheon on February 27th, 2018 at the Embassy Suites on Verdae Boulevard. The luncheon honors those in the Upstate who have made significant contributions to the areas of land conservation, water quality, sustainable development, air quality, public service and volunteer work.
This year’s Conservation Champions to be honored are:
Land Conservation Award: Spartanburg School District Six Farm to School Program
Clean Water Award: Catherine Heigel, South Carolina DHEC
Land Planning and Policy Award: Dean Hybl, Ten at the Top
Public Servant of the Year: Representative Gary E. Clary
Volunteer of the Year: Luther Lyle
Innovation in Sustainable Business Award: Swamp Rabbit Café
This year’s keynote speaker will be Cheri Chastain, Sustainability Manager for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. We will have a Sierra Nevada beer tasting beginning at 11:00 am to kick off the ForeverGreen Luncheon. We look forward to seeing you there!
