Mountain Bridge Wilderness & Rec. Area

More than 11,000 acres and 50 miles of trails connect to the Sumter National Forest with one trail leading to the Foothills Trail. This network of trails provides an excellent view of scenic vistas, including Raven Cliff Falls. Primitive trailside camping is permitted by registering with a ranger. Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium

Spartanburg’s grand old lady, the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, reopened after an extensive $10.5 million renovation, and is a great venue for entertainment. The new renovations include a new lobby, complete with custom carpeting, a specialty coffee bar, copper chandeliers, and arched skylights. Hollywild Animal Park

Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve

The mission of Hatcher Garden & Woodland Preserve is to be a place for the public to come for inspiration, enjoyment and education through the study of nature. The Garden lies entirely within Spartanburg City Limits and is home to over 10,000 trees, shrubs and flowers. Admission is free.

Brushy Creek & Southern Miniature Children’s Railroad

Cowpens National Battlefield

Cowpens National Battlefield commemorates a decisive battle that helped turn the tide of war in the South. On this field on January 17, 1781, Daniel Morgan led his army of tough Continentals, militia and cavalry to a brilliant victory over Banastre Tarleton’s force of British regulars.
