"Cloud Nine" begins in British Colonial Africa in 1880 and follows a family as it changes, or does not change, through history. The second act takes place in England in 1980, where so much has changed. Or has it? Onstage May 2 - 4, 8 - 11, and 15 - 17, "Cloud 9" is about identity and relationships...all sorts of relationships…both good and not so good. It is about sex, work, mothers, Africa, power, children, grandmothers, politics, money…and sex. The Warehouse Theatre is a professional theatre organization dedicated to the concept of theatre as a serious art form; to high-quality, diverse and challenging productions; to the training of theatre professionals; to community outreach; and to student education.
