The project will include milling, patching, resurfacing and restriping Main Street. The purpose of the project is to sustain the usable life of the road by improving the surface condition and rideability for motorists and provide a safer walking surface for pedestrians in the crosswalks and parking spaces.

F&R Asphalt, Inc. has been contracted to perform the work, which is expected to take six weeks to complete. The work will take place a night between 10 pm and 7 am, and will require road and parking space closures during these hours. The work will begin at the College-Beattie intersection and progress block by block towards the Augusta-River intersection. The project will be coordinated with special events planned within the project limits.
