The public is invited to review textbooks and instructional materials that have been proposed for use in South Carolina’s public schools.
The materials will be recommended to the State Board of Education for adoption on December 10, 2014, by the Instructional Materials Review Panels appointed by the Board.
The materials are in the following subject areas:
Social Studies, Secondary
Advanced Placement Human Geography
Elementary
Cursive Writing, Grades 3-5
This year, the South Carolina Department of Education will conduct a virtual public review of the student materials for each recommended program from October 10 through November 10, 2014.
Access to the web links for each proposed program and the Public Review Comment Form is available on the web at www.mysctextbooks.com under “What’s New.” After clicking “What’s New,” please click the first link entitled, “Public Review Information with Web Links and Comment Form Access.” State Board of Education members will review citizens’ comments before a final decision is made on adopting the materials.
