The 2009 Main Street Jazz series has concluded, and now we must await for the spring of 2010 to once again enjoy one of Greenville's most beloved downtown entertaiment venues. Below, please find a hint of what is to come in 2010, by seeing the great jazz acts that played during the 2009 Main Street Jazz schedule, and which brought such satisfaction to area residents and guests. The music series began in 1995, and has grown in size and reputation every year since then. Main Street Jazz runs from 5:30-9:30PM, and is held on Main Street, between Beattie Street and North Street (Hyatt Plaza Deck). Admission is free. A 2009 schedule of performers is below:
Bring a picture ID if you intend to purchase alcohol. In order to purchase or consume alcohol within the permit area, you must be 21-years of age (or older), present a valid picture ID, and purchase a City of Greenville approved wristband for $1.00; times for sales and consumption of alcohol will be posted at the ticket purchase locations. Downtown Alive does not provide seating at the event so feel free to bring a chair, dancing shoes just in case, a smile and a song in your heart! Please do not bring coolers, pets, bicycles, skateboard, frowns, or bad attitudes!
