“Just Drive” High School Baseball Invitational This Saturday

On Saturday, March 29th, six high school baseball teams from across Greenville County will take part in the 1st Annual Just Drive High School Baseball Invitational presented by Michelin, N.A., Verizon Wireless and Bradshaw Automotive.

The triple header begins at 11:00 AM with the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers taking on the Greer Yellow Jackets. Game two will feature the Wade Hampton Generals and the Riverside Warriors at 2:00 PM, and the Greenville Red Raiders will take on the Berea Bulldogs in the final game of the day at 5:00 PM. All three games are seven innings.

The Main Street gate and concession stands will open at 10:30 AM. Tickets are $5 and are good for all three games on Saturday. Greenville County high school students who have already made the pledge to “Just Drive” or make the pledge on site will receive a complimentary ticket. Students must bring a valid school ID to receive their complimentary ticket. South Carolina High School League Passes will be accepted at the gate as well. The Drive’s Just Drive program is beginning its second year of educating high schoolers in Greenville County about the dangers of driving while distracted, be it talking on the phone, texting or eating while driving.
