Professional and amateur photographers will be welcomed to the park with special amenities set up to enable them to hone their craft with fun and fascinating subjects – the amazing animals who call Hollywild home. During the event Spartanburg Photographic Center is sponsoring workshops and will have experts on site from Nikon and/or Cannon. Special sets will be in place throughout the park, allowing photographers to capture the beauty of Exotic birds (Cockatoos, African Grey, African Crowned Cranes, Green Amazons, Scarlet Macaw); Sicilian burros, and llamas, our young Zebra and a Zebu, without any hindrances. Our large carnivores are located in habitats with safety fencing located 4 ft from the electrified habitat enclosures. Additional animals will be found in various habitats throughout the park, many with easy ‘no fence’ views. Hollywild’s executive director, David Meeks, will provide additional highlights for photographers by bringing one of the park’s gray wolves out of it’s habitat for fence free photography. He will also give photographers a behind-the-scenes visit into our rhino habitat, home to “Tank.” From a special vantage point inside the habitat, photographers will be able to get striking images of the only Rhino currently ‘working’ in advertizing in the U.S. Admission to one Photography day is $35 with preregistration (received by March 12 or April 8). Those preregistering will receive special admission passes and release forms by mail, time permitting. Admission for the photography program is $40 at the gate and release forms must be signed before admission is granted. Though the park will be open for the public during Photography Day, only those with a Photography Day Pass will be admitted to the special photography set areas. Hollywild Animal Park welcomes visitors from 10 AM -5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays during the month of March and groups by appointment during weekdays in March.
