Elliott Davis Decosimo and The Greenville Drive have partnered to recruit new volunteers for Meals on Wheels of Greenville.
Earlier this month The Greenville Drive’s Austin Glorius volunteered with Elliott Davis interns to deliver meals to the homebound. In addition, Meals on Wheels and Elliott Davis recently teamed up at The Greenville Drive game night to give away four free Greenville Drive ticket vouchers to anyone who signed up to volunteer for Meals on Wheels. The new volunteers will receive vouchers for the tickets once they deliver a Meals on Wheels route.
The initiative is the result of Elliott Davis’ internship program, through which interns engage in a community service project throughout the summer.
Meals on Wheels enhances the quality of life of homebound individuals by providing nutritious meals, personal interaction and independence. Each day, caring volunteers serve nearly 1,500 hot, nutritious meals to homebound individuals throughout Greenville County.
