Jessica Khoury’s latest novel, Vitro (Razorbill, hardcover, $17.99), is “a violent, thought-provoking tale that grabs the reader by the throat and doesn’t let go” (Booklist). Vitros — test tube embryos brought to life by Corpus scientists — have knowledge and abilities most humans can only dream of. But they also have one enormous flaw. 17-year-old Sophie, with the help of young charter pilot Jim, is going to find out just what happens when science stretches too far when she discovers her Vitro twin Lux.

Jessica has dreamed of being a writer since she wrote her first book at age 4, a fan fic sequel to Syd Hoff’s Danny and the Dinosaur. When not writing, she enjoys spending time with family, playing video games, and traveling the world. She currently lives in Greenville, SC. She is the author of Origin, Vitro, and forthcoming Kalahari (Winter 2015).

“Teens are sure to enjoy this romantic sci-fi adventure full of drama and plot twist,” says School Library Journal of Unforgotten (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, hardcover, $17.99), the second book in Jessica Brody’s Unremembered series. Sera and Zen are on the run from Diotech and the scientists who created Sera. Their only hope to defeat Diotech is for Sera to unearth a secret from her mind, a secret that Diotech will kill to protect

Jessica graduated from Smith College in 2001, where she double majored in Economics and French and minored in Japanese. She went on to work for MGM Studios as a Manager of Acquisitions and Business Development, but quit in 2005 to follow her dream of becoming a published author. Since then, she has sold nine novels. She currently splits her time between Los Angeles and Colorado. The third book in the Unremembered trilogy will release in 2015.

Beth Revis does “a fabulous job of integrating science fiction and YA romance,” according to USA Today. In Shades of Earth (Razorbill, paperback, $9.99), the final book in the bestselling Across the Earth trilogy, Amy and Elder leave the oppressive walls of Godspeed behind to start a new life on Centauri-Earth — but the new planet isn’t the paradise Amy has been hoping for. Now they must discover who — or what — is out there with them, and where it came from.

A former teacher, Beth lives in North Carolina with her husband and dog. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the Across the Universe trilogy — Across the Universe, A Million Suns, and Shades of Earth. She is currently working on a new science fiction trilogy for teens.

Megan Shepherd is the author of The Madman’s Daughter trilogy. Of Her Dark Curiosity (Balzer + Bray, hardcover, $17.99), the second book of the series, Booklist says, “Shepherd’s integration of romance into her nods to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dracula, Frankenstein, and Jack the Ripper is masterful, and she does not back down from a hugely dark cliff-hanger ending. Bosoms, prepare to heave — and throats, prepare to scream.” A story inspired by The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, this tantalizing sequel to the gothic suspense novel The Madman’s Daughter explores the hidden natures of those we love and how far we’ll go to save them from themselves.

Megan grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where her family has owned and operated an independent bookstore for over 35 years. Shepherd attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in international studies and went on to live and work in Costa Rica, Senegal, Scotland, Spain, and many other countries. Now, she has returned to Western North Carolina and is a full-time writer of young adult novels. Her next trilogy, The Cage, is a YA sci-fi trilogy about six teenagers trapped in an elaborate “human zoo” by an otherworldly race known as the Kindred. It is a three-book series to be released starting summer 2015.
