Former South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Nick Theodore Book Signing

Former South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Nick Theodore will be signing copies of his new memoir at Fiction Addiction on August 22nd.

Lieutenant Governor Theodore’s new memoir, Trials and Triumphs: South Carolina’s Evolution, 1962-2014, will be available for sale, along with collaborator and former WYFF-4 news anchor Dave Partridge, at Fiction Addiction on Friday, August 22nd, from 2:00-4:00pm. Nick will also give a few remarks about the book at 3:00pm. This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

This book contains stories about some of South Carolina’s most exciting decades: its growing role in the national and international economy, its welcoming of immigrants and integration, its advances in education, health care and research, its exciting collaborations, notable leaders, memorable personalities and an education lottery that works. All these and other stories told by one of South Carolina’s longtime civic and political leaders.

Nick Theodore is a former politician from Greenville, South Carolina. He attended the University of Georgia and Furman University. He was a State representative from 1963 to 1966 and 1970 to 1978, and a South Carolina state senator from 1967 to 1968 and 1981 to 1986. Theodore spent a total of 24 years serving in the South Carolina state legislature before being elected in 1986 as the 85th Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina. He served two full terms in that post, under Governor Carroll Campbell. At the conclusion of Campbell’s two terms in office, Theodore ran for Governor in 1994, but was defeated by David Beasley in the general election. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Dave Partridge is a former anchor and news director at WYFF-4.
