Ford Month of Global Caring Volunteer Service Day Benefits Meals on Wheels of Greenville

Ford Motor Credit presented Meals on Wheels of Greenville with a check for $5,000 on Friday, September 16th. These funds will provide hot, nutritious meals and a personal visit to 1,000 homebound clients.

The check presentation was a part of the 2016 Ford Month of Global Caring Volunteer Service Day. In addition to the donation, employees from Ford Motor Credit also volunteered their time packaging meals for the homebound and handing out route sheets to Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers.

“Every day, we depend on volunteers to deliver hot meals to nearly 1,500 homebound individuals in Greenville County,” said Julie Accetta, Director of Community Relations at Meals on Wheels of Greenville. “In addition to their service day, Ford Motor Credit delivers meals as a team six times per month, and this contribution is another example of their dedication to our community.”

Since 2008, Ford Motor Credit employees have devoted 2,447 volunteer hours to Meals on Wheels of Greenville.
