Fall for Greenville Adds Thursday Concert on Oct. 8th

For the first time, Fall for Greenville presented by Pepsi and OneMain Financial has added a Thursday night concert to its festival lineup.

The free kick off concert set for October 8th will be held on The Peace Center Stage and will feature The Suffers, a 10-piece soul band from Houston, TX, and opening act Nathan Angelo, a local modern pop musician.

The Peace Center Amphitheatre will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. Nathan Angelo will kick off the event at 7 p.m. and The Suffers are scheduled to perform from 8:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Food options from Larkins on the River, Automatic Taco and Highway 301 will be available for purchase on-site.

Concert attendees will also have the opportunity to pre-purchase taste tickets for the festival weekend. Patrons who pre-purchase $50 worth of tickets (10 sheets) will receive one free sheet of tickets. Tickets are $5 for a sheet of eight and can be used throughout the festival weekend to purchase food and beverages, merchandise and rides in the Nationwide Insurance Kid’s Area. No refunds will be given on pre-purchase sales.

Now in its 34th year, Fall for Greenville is one of the largest street festivals in South Carolina, attracting 150,000 – 200,000 people from across the Upstate and beyond. The three-day festival set for Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11 features 40 of Greenville’s finest restaurants. In addition to providing a taste of Greenville, Fall for Greenville provides an array of ancillary events including musical entertainment on five stages, culinary demonstrations, children’s rides, wine tasting, a beer garden and restaurant competitions.

A portion of this year’s festival proceeds will benefit 10 local charities, including United Way Hands On Greenville, Boy Scout Troops 260 & 266, Greenville Chinese Cultural Association, Red Shoe Society in support of The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas, Public Education Partners, Neighborhood Focus, National Society of Black Engineers, Greenville HOG Chapter #4800 on behalf of Upstate Warrior Solutions, Surgeons For Sight and Newcomers Club of Greater Greenville on behalf of Project Host.
