Clemson University Hosts Women’s Leadership Forum

Female leaders from across the country will gather at Clemson University for the American Council on Education (ACE) Regional Leadership Forum.

The forum provides leadership training for women in mid-level administrative positions who have the potential to advance in higher education administration.

The event will feature speakers who exemplify leadership in higher education. The presentation topics include professional development, planning for the future, engaging with social media and personal assessment.

The women also will attend workshops designed to promote academic leadership and career advancement.

“The valuable work being done by ACE on the critically important issue of advancing women in academia is very much in line with Clemson’s commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment,” said Clemson President James P. Clements, who is hosting a reception for conference attendees.

“The talented women gathering on our campus for the forum represent some of the brightest academic minds in the country, and we are thrilled to be able to host the ACE Regional Leaders Forum on our campus.”

The conference will be held from Monday through Wednesday at the Madren Conference Center.
