Centre Stage Presents Through the Night Through Feb. 10th

Centre Stage’s provoking Fringe Series continues with a play about six interconnected black males, ages 10 – 60, who experience an unexpected phenomenon on the same evening that changes their lives forever.

It is the story of a child scientist, a young man from the projects on his way to college, an ex-convict, a corporate executive, a health food store owner, and the Bishop of a mega church – and the people who love them as they make it Through the Night.

Beaty’s fascinating drama tackles multiple questions, concerns, topics and difficulties facing the black community. Dealing with timely topics such as economic survival, physical health, education, mentorship, addiction, sexuality and the church, Through the Night will challenge stereotypes and leave the audience with a sense of personal accounting about their own roles in the wider community. With diverse male as well as strong female characters, the play is grounded in the central theme of the abiding and profound love the characters share.

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce is also partnering with Centre Stage for The Greenville Chamber of Commerce Opening Night Event on Tuesday, Jan. 26th. Opening night reception will begin at 6 pm. Included with price of admission.
