Carolina Ballet Theatre will sponsor an evening of cocktails and shopping at Postcard from Paris today, September 23, from 6- 8:30 PM. Proceeds from the evening fundraiser will benefit a fortunate group of single women who are selected through the YWCA and other organizations that lend assistance to women in need. The CBT fundraiser will include wine, cheese, and shopping from the collections of boutiques like The Glass Slipper and Augusta20, and can be enjoyed for the price of $10 per person at the door. Girlfriends can relax, unwind, and enjoy the shopping experience while knowing their ticket money is going to help other women. This important event will provide funds to select single mothers and women in need from Safe Harbor, Rosewood, A Child’s Haven, Family Learning Resource Centers, and the YWCA, and provide childcare so they too, may enjoy an evening of dance as performed by the CBT.
Their children will also be entertained in a separate performance of Grandma's Storybook Ballets, a collection of beloved tales especially choreographed for the very young. The mission of The Carolina Ballet Theatre (CBT) is to promote and expand the art of dance to all segments of the Greenville community. CBT achieves this goal by providing the highest caliber professional and pre-professional dancers in the Upstate who are dedicated to serving the community through their art form. CBT strives to offer quality performances that will educate and entertain a wide variety of audiences in the art of ballet.
