Furman Entrance Opens at Bon Secours Wellness Arena

Furman University recently announced that it has entered a multi-year agreement with Bon Secours Wellness Arena to sponsor one of the main entrances to the 15,000-seat facility located downtown.

The Furman University Entrance, which is located on the side of the arena facing North Church Street, was installed this week. Furman signage and flags are displayed on the exterior of the arena entrance, and the concourse area inside the arena also features university images and messaging supporting its strategic vision, The Furman Advantage. The partnership offers Furman a number of other branding opportunities, including digital displays on the Arena’s scoreboard and 360 ribbon board, as well as the use of the facility for certain university events.

“We are excited to incorporate the Furman brand into the Arena and to launch our new partnership,” said Beth Paul, General Manager of the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. “We began working with Furman last year when we partnered on the successful bid for the NCAA tournament in March. That was such a good experience for both institutions that we decided to continue the partnership and bring Greenville’s university to the Arena.”

Furman President Elizabeth Davis said one of the university’s goals is to increase its visibility in, and connection to, the Greenville community, and the new partnership with Bon Secours Wellness Arena is an ideal opportunity to do both.

“We want to be an integral partner with the community and celebrate our role as Greenville’s university,” Davis said. “Having such a dynamic and creative presence at the Arena, which welcomes more than 550,000 visitors a year from the Southeast and beyond, will help increase our awareness and visibility, another goal of The Furman Advantage. This partnership is one way we can show our commitment to Greenville, and it reflects our desire to connect more deeply with the community.”

Located in Greenville, SC, the Bon Secours Wellness Arena is a 15,000-seat sports and entertainment arena that hosts live events including family shows, sporting events, concerts, minor league hockey, seminars and conventions. Club seats, party suites and luxury suites with premium concierge services are available in the arena. The Bon Secours Wellness Arena is managed by the Greenville Arena District.
