Join us at Furman University’s Daniel Recital Hall on Sunday, April 28 at 5pm for the Carolina Youth Symphony Spring Concert!

The Spring Concert will feature the Preparatory String Orchestra in their inaugural performance, conducted by Ashley E. Rhoden, accompanied by the Repertory Orchestra, conducted by Ginger R. Greer. Admission is free and open to the public.

Hope y’all can join us in Laurens SC for the Piedmont Blues and Roots Festival on May the 4th! Laurens County was the birthplace and home of Rev. Gary Davis, Willie Walker, Lil McClintock, Arthur Guitar Boogie Smith and other prominent Piedmont Blues artists. Our goal is to preserve and celebrate that heritage with the Piedmont Blues and Roots Festival. The festival will take place in downtown Laurens and feature performances by Jerron Blind Boy Paxton, Veronika Jackson, Sparky and Rhonda Rucker, the Holler Floppers ft. Ali Kafka and Hunter Holmes, all of whom preserve and perform traditional music.

Carolina Youth Symphony Senior Honors Concert

McAlister Auditorium, Furman University

Join us at Furman University’s McAlister Auditorium on Sunday, May 5 at 3pm for the Carolina Youth Symphony (CYS) Senior Honors Concert as we celebrate 34 amazing seniors with a combined 98 years in the CYS!

Conducted by Simón A. Gollo, James F. Kilgus, and Ginger R. Greer, the Senior Honors Concert will feature the Symphony, Concert and Repertory Orchestras performing works by Arlen, Brahms, Márquez, Moncayo, Musella, Offenbach, and Williams. The concert will also feature Senior Soloist Anya Barringer performing Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2.
